Chinese Simplified translation file of Traq 0.6

This is just the translation file (to be put in Include/Lang/zhcn.php).
Besides, there are plain texts in the template and admin control panel that also need to be translated.
And, to make Chinese characters able to be storaged in the database, the charset in install.sql should be changed to utf8 instead of latin1.
By the way, after I changed the charset and reinstalled the program, the program works all right while the data in phpMyAdmin is not properly shown. I wonder if you can help me on that.
I'll help with the translation in Chinese (both Simplified and Traditional) of the future versions of Traq if I had time.

A new homepage has been launched with colors from the default theme of Traq 2.0.

This template handles the Filters and Columns section on the view tickets page.

Only edit this template if you know what you're doing.
This template handles the display of the breadcrumbs/history links on most pages. (example: "Traq > Tickets > Ticket #2")

TRAQ 0.6 Installation Problem - t_USERS

I like to run TRAQ on my webaccount. My Webprovider allows me to create and use a MySQL Databases from some webfrontend.

But unfortunally Im unable to run Configuration till end.
config.php stops with error:
"Error 1146: Table 'xyz.t_users' doesn't exist
SHOW COLUMNS FROM t_users"
Database xyz still exists.
I dont no what at PREFIX should be edited in config.php.

The documentation is very "streight" just run install.php...
So Im a bit confused what happens, and whats to do, to run traq successfully.

Could anybody help me?

Creating Plugins for Traq 2.0

Creating Plugins for Traq 2.0 is simple, there are two ways you can do it.

The first is the easiest, which is use the AdminCP to create your plugin and hooks then export it to an XML file.

The second is creating your plugin's XML file and entering your data there.

This is the template for an example plugin file:

Now the install and uninstall SQL parts are for plugins that need to add stuff to the database or remove stuff from the database when uninstalled.

When using these fields, the SQL should be formatted like so:

INSERT INTO table (columnOne,columnTwo) VALUES('cool','plugin');

INSERT INTO table2 (columnOne,columnTwo) VALUES('Traq','I love it');

Each query must end with a ; to separate the queries.

Now as you can see from the example plugin, there are two hooks being added, one to the global hook and one to the formattext hook.

The global hook loads at the end of the global file while the formattext hook loads whenever the formattext() function is used.

A list of hooks will be released towards the release of Traq 2.0

I have been really, really busy the last few weeks with real life things and should be able to work on Traq 2.0 some more in a month or so.

Hi. I found Traq project and tested 0.6 version. I am impressed.

I like:

minimalistic design
speed
user friendly interface that is not bloated
total control over everything
small size
easy CSS hacks and other PHP tricks

I must say i like minimalistic design of 0.6 more than colorful 2.0 design i see on this page:

But that is just me. But it would be great if both themes would be part of 2.0.

I don't use Traq for software development. So i don't need SVN for now. I create projects, components, tickets, milestones, attachaments and i like roadmap function.

OK now the question.

0.6 doesn't have good multi language support. I translated it to my language and output didn't work well.

I made backup of my database and i think that because of different type of defolt charset setting and languge i use i got corrupted import after exporting database.

So i wanted to try 2.0 development version if it has batter multi language support. But i don't know where to download it.

But there is no download .zip file or something like that.

Use of mysql's 'SELECT *'

I'm using Traq for a small project and was browsing the source and noticed the SQL queries tend to use 'SELECT *', but much of the information gathered from the DB with the statement is discarded. For example, when creating a new component, the new component page executes a query to get project information using 'SELECT *'. However, it ends up only using the project name and id in the new component form.

I think a more efficient way of gathering data would be to specify the exact fields required.

PS. I wanted to browse the Traq 2.0 source in SVN, but couldn't find a way to actually read the file source in the browser (!).

I've been busy the last few weeks, but as some people may have noticed I've been working on Traq 2.0 for the past 2 days.

I'm going to work on Traq 2.0 slowly and not rush it, I want it to be lightweight and fast with some pretty awesome features, these kinds of things cannot be rushed.

Pretty soon I will create the installer for Traq 2.0 so people can start testing it. An upgrade file will be available but not at first, I need to figure out how I'm going to do it as the database has change a lot from Traq 0.6, in fact the database was also created from scratch.

Anyway, keep an eye out on this forum for the devblog, I will be updating that with some news if I remember to.

What should I know to write code for Traq?

Hi,
I want to contribute to Traq if possible because I cannot take the effort of learning Python for one app - although the app is worth it
So what would I need to learn -any of the new changes in PHP 5.2.x like SPL etc are required ?
I had a quick look at the source, but I think I need to take some time to study it.

Is there any user documentation for Traq 0.6 ?

Most of my beta-testing team are non-coders (we write games software for Windows OS) and some of the terminology used in Traq would be rather confusing to them.

Is there a way of adding an on-line help manual?
